Entry requirements

Grade 4 in at least four GCSEs or equivalent. Preferred grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science but these are not essential. You will be expected to have a ‘can do’ attitude and there is an emphasis on practical and teamwork activities.

Your next steps...

You will have the necessary skills to apply for any of the uniformed services: armed, emergency or one of the many other uniformed public services. The skills and knowledge developed throughout the year are transferable and can assist in gaining employment with most employers. Alternatively, it provides the equivalent of 2 A-levels, which combined with other subjects, allows progression on to degree level courses at university, many of which are based around the Uniformed public services.
