Course Summary
Teamworking skills are extremely valuable when working in the community and are also transferable to other areas of life.
This is a one year course which has been designed for learners who are working in the community or are looking to do so.
It is particularly advantageous for those wishing to join a uniformed organisation and focuses on skills and knowledge that would be beneficial such as teamwork, communications and leadership.
You will become aware of the roles, responsibilities and purpose of different uniformed organisations.
The course is equivalent to one GCSE and helps prepare you for the Level 3 NCFE courses in Uniformed Services.
Course Details
Developing Effective Communication Skills. Learners will explore teamworking skills and the benefits and potential challenges of teamworking, including the importance of effective communication. You will gain experience of working positively as a team member when planning and contributing to team tasks. Additionally, you will develop an understanding of how to reflect on your own and your team’s effectiveness in completing the task.

Coursework - 100%
Assignments and practical assessments individually and in groups.
Entry requirements
A GCSE 2/3 profile or evidence of potential.
