Travel & transport

Travelling independently can give you more freedom and confidence.

It can help you get to:

  • College or training
  • Work or volunteering
  • Activities and hobbies
  • Friends and family

If you need support, there are people and services that can help you learn to travel safely and confidently.

Help You Choose is here to help you find information about education, employment and training opportunities. Being able to travel can make it easier to access these opportunities and become more independent.

Explore the information below to find out more about travel training, transport support, travel passes and other ways to help you get where you want to go.

A disabled travel bus pass can help you travel more independently and access education, training, work and social activities. If you have a disability or health condition, you may be able to travel for free by bus. In some cases, if you need support when using public transport, a companion can travel with you for free too.

TITAN (Travel Independence Training across Norfolk)

TITAN helps young people with SEND learn how to travel safely and confidently on their own. The free service is available for young people aged 10 to 25 and offers support at school, college and in the community. Travel trainers can help you build the skills you need to use public transport and travel independently.

Learning to travel on your own can help you become more independent and feel more confident. It can make it easier to get to school, college, work, volunteering, social activities and places you enjoy visiting.
