This accessibility statement applies to the HelpYouChoose website at https://www.helpyouchoose.org/.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We have designed the website with accessibility in mind and aim to make our content clear and easy to understand.

You should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
  • zoom in to increase the size of content
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard

How accessible this website is

We know that some parts of this website are not fully accessible.

The website is currently partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

We carry out accessibility checks as part of the development and maintenance of the website. However, a full manual accessibility audit of all pages and functionality has not been carried out recently. We are therefore not able to confirm that every page and feature fully meets WCAG 2.2 AA.

  • alternative text for some images may not always be complete or accurate

Using accessibility tools

Help You Choose provides the Recite Me accessibility toolbar. It provides additional tools that allow visitors to customise how they interact with the website, including text-to-speech, translation, text and display adjustments and reading aids.

The Recite Me toolbar is an additional accessibility tool and does not replace the accessibility features provided by the website itself, or those available through your browser, operating system or assistive technology.
