What financial help can I get when I turn 16?

This will vary based on your needs. The 16-19 bursary is a good place to start. 

At 16, young people can claim benefits but do get free advice about what can be claimed and how benefits could affect the payments that you or your family might already receive. 

If you are eligible for a service from Adult Social Care, following an assessment, you may be offered a personal budget. And you can receive help through your education, health and care plan if you have one.
