Videography, Photography and Design (Level 2)

Applying for this Videography, Photography and Design course is easy.

All you need to do is fill in our short online application form. After you have created an account you will be able to provide links to online work, upload relevant documents and book an interview slot.

Skills set:

• We recommend that you have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 3-1 (or D-F).
• If you are currently in year 11, we will need evidence of your predicted and actual grades.
• If you are also able to bring a school reference with you that would be really useful.
• As a guide this course is for those who want to get started in media. You should have a strong interest in a career in this area, but prior skills are not essential.
• Please note you will not be able to enrol if you will be under the age of 16 on 31st August. Applications from people under this age are still welcome, but will be deferred to the following year.

Interview:

• Please come prepared to talk about your interests, your current skills, the artists you like and your ambitions.
• Please bring, or supply links to, any work you may have produced, such as video, photos, illustrations and graphics. This may be in the form of an online or physical portfolio.

The creative sector is one of the fastest growing areas of the UK economy and a great and exciting place in which to work.

This Video, Photography and Design course can lead onto:

• Further skills development on the Level 3 Film, Videography & Photography course or our Graphic and Digital Design course.
• Employment, or self-employment, in the creative industries (over 18s). This may be as a photographer, film maker, graphic/web designer, vlogger, or it may be into another area of creative industries.
• A creative apprenticeship as a stepping stone to work.
