Being part of the community

Day care centre providers

Day centres are a great way to access the community, and they are all different!

Some have their own building space, others are on farms, in shops, or even factories! This gives people lots of different experiences and choice. Usually, these activities take part in the day, but there are some day centres that do things in the evening too, like cinema, karaoke, or disco nights.

Most people that go to day services live at home with their families or carers

During the year, there may be times when parents or carers aren’t able to care for someone as they normally would. To make sure people are supported and cared for, lots of people have respite. People have their own bedroom and can take part in a variety of activities with staff or with other people staying for respite. To find out more, visit the Norfolk Directory.

If you have a care and support need but aren’t eligible for social care, you may be able to access these services privately.
