Course Summary


Course Details

This course is aimed at students aged 16 who want a pathway/career within the construction sector, but do not meet the entry requirements for our courses in the construction trades.

It will build your confidence to perform practical construction tasks, while developing your literacy and numeracy skills. You will also complete a theory unit around health and safety within the construction sector.

You will carry out practical tasks in areas relevant to the construction industry such as painting and decorating, plastering and plumbing.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment will be predominately through practical tasks, with one health and safety writing assignment.

Entry requirements

You do not need any formal qualifications to undertake this course, but will need to have a genuine interest in the construction industry. You will also be required to complete an interview with our course tutor.
