Application Instructions
Students will need to demonstrate an ability to study at least 3 A-level subjects by achieving an average of 38 points over 8 GCSEs with a Grade 4 at least in English and Mathematics. Students should gain a Grade 6 or above in subjects they wish to study at A Level. Points are worked out on the bases that a Grade 9 = 9 points, Grade 8 = 8 points etc.

Course Details
Biology is at the cutting edge of modern
science. Progress in areas as diverse as
human fertility, genetics, medicine and the
environment has pushed this subject into
the media spotlight time and time again.
COURSE
Students of A-level Biology will need a good
understanding of general science, and can
expect to learn much more about recent
developments in many areas. Also, you will
learn about more fundamental questions
such as how we humans work and where we
come from. STEM Plus is an extension which
offers you numerous enrichment
opportunities, exploring current biological
developments and giving a taste of real
research beyond the limitations of the
examination courses.

Biology students can also participate in
collaborative research projects with other
schools, the UEA and the John Innes Centre, which enhances their experience and understanding of the subject.
Entry requirements
A minimum of a B pass in Additional Science or Biology at GCSE and a grade 6 in Maths at GCSE.
