Applications made before 01 January will be considered while blocking subjects for our timetable. If you apply after this date, the blocking for subjects will have already been determined. If the subjects you have chosen do not fit into the blocking, you will be notified as soon as possible, to arrange a conversation with our Sixth Form team in order to discuss alternatives.

Pearson has developed the content of the new BTEC Nationals in collaboration with employers and representatives from higher education and relevant professional bodies. In this way, they have ensured that content is up to date and that it includes the knowledge, understanding, skills and attributes required in the sector.

Year 12:

Unit 1 – Information Technology Systems

• Unit 2 – Creating Systems to manage information

Year 13

Unit 3 – Using social media in business •

Coursework - Option 1

Optional units include:

• Data modelling

• Website Development

GCSE English Language 4 | iMedia, ICT or Computer Science qualification 4 (or equivalent)

Progression into the second year of the course is reliant on students achieving a minimum Pass grade in all Year 1 components.
