To study Double Award Btec (OCR Nationals) and 1 A Level

5 GCSEs - combination of:

• C or above for unreformed GCSEs
• 4 or above in Reformed GCSEs

To study Triple Award Btec (OCR Nationals).

4 GCSEs - combination of:

• C or above for unreformed GCSEs
• 4 or above in Reformed GCSEs

When you study psychology you will find out about a whole range of human behaviour, from why we follow fashion to how we understand people with mental disorders. This course will not equip you to solve everyone’s problems but it will give you a better understanding of why people behave as they do. It will be also be a good basis for going on to study a wide range of university courses as well as preparing you for a number of different careers. The AS covers 3 modules; Cognitive & Developmental Psychology, Physiological & Abnormal Psychology and Social Psychology & Research Methods. The A2 course covers further modules, which include aspects of Social, Cognitive, Developmental and Abnormal Psychology. In addition you will be required to have an overview of the subject and consider issues and debates in Psychology.
