Student entry into our Sixth Form requires 5 grade 4 GCSE's or above including English and Maths.

If you studied the applied subject at GCSE we are asking for a grade 5 in that subjects (Grade 6 in Maths)


Course Summary

Maths is a deeply rewarding subject, the importance of which is recognised throughout society. An A level in Maths will help you maximise your potential in the world of work or higher education and is well regarded by both. It supports, and in many cases is essential to, a wide range of subjects such as Sciences, Engineering, Computing, Accountancy, Geography, Psychology, Architecture and more.

FURTHER MATHS

Further Maths is offered for the more able student. If you are intending to do a Maths or Maths rich university degree, this qualification should be seriously considered. It significantly broadens your mathematical experience, preparing you more thoroughly for such degrees as it is a highly respected qualification. There are two compulsory pure maths modules and two optional modules.

Students will have the opportunity to enter the UKMT senior challenge, a national individual challenge which will help students develop their problem solving skills. The school may also enter a team into the local senior team challenge.

Entry requirements

Student entry into our Sixth Form requires 5 grade 4 GCSE's or above including English and Maths.

To study this course requires a minimum Grade 6 in GCSE Maths.
