If you are interested in working in any of the Uniformed Services, e.g. ambulance, fire, police, armed services, this course will provide a solid start to your career.
Course Details
On this course you will take the following units:
You will take physical training, a mandatory part of the course, to help increase fitness levels to ensure you can pass a Uniformed Services fitness test. This will include:

You will be given the opportunity to spend time away with the Armed Forces looking at various trades within them. These will include:
You will also visit the local fire station and have the option of completing a Duke of Edingburgh (DofE) award at Bronze, Silver or Gold level. There are a number of other opportunities that develop through the year.
There are some optional costs for this course for trips and awards. All costs are approximate and will be confirmed closer to the time of the event. How will it be delivered and assessed?
To qualify for the qualification you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence for all unit work, which is assessed regularly.
You will also complete 60 hours work experience alongside this course.
