Course Summary
The Bluebird course at CWA specialises in the support required by autistic individuals, with trained, experienced staff who aim to encourage independent skills and inspire students, building confidence to enable them to pursue further education the following year. We provide consistency and a safe environment to help the students reach their full potential.
Course Details
Our college provides a safe and supportive environment and specialist facilities such a unique quiet space (The Haven) staffed by specialists, ensuring a secure environment throughout the college day. In addition to this there is a quiet area within the Bluebird classroom for students to use if and when they need time out from their session.
In addition to mandatory subjects aimed at fostering essential life, academic and vocational skills, you will have the opportunity to experience other areas in the college via taster sessions, giving you a wide range of options for the future.
During the academic year, learners will have the opportunity to work with their Course Director and the Workplacement Co-ordinator to undertake work experience, as appropriate. If progression onto another course within CWA is appropriate, where possible, learners will be given the chance to have taster sessions in order to assist with course choices.

The course is designed exclusively for autistic students.After an initial interview visit, there's a taster session where we can see if the course fits your unique requirements.
