Course Summary
As a full-time student this programme of Study will be made up of several different components to ensure that the best possible opportunities are experienced when studying with us, as well as increasing and promoting progression opportunities going forward.
This qualification covers the technical needs for introduction into today's motor vehicle repair industry, including diagnosis of non-complex faults. It provides essential knowledge for service technicians working on cars and light vehicles

English and Maths to improve your GCSE/Functional skills Grades
Your time at college will be divided into 60% classroom delivery and 40% practical workshop activities. The course includes elements of health and safety, general housekeeping and industry standard repair techniques covering all the systems of the vehicle.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
To successfully complete this course you will need to complete a number of practical assessments, construct a written portfolio and online knowledge assessments. Practical skills will be tested by a series of tasks within the College workshop, theory knowledge will be tested by the portfolio and assessed by the awarding body external verifier.
Entry requirements
Applicants should have grade 3 or above in Maths and a Grade 2 or above in English.
