Course Details
You will study the ways in which language varies, depending on the contexts of production and reception, and explore and critically evaluate how language choices can create personal identities, as well as how language varies over time.
In addition, you will study the development of both speech and writing in children from birth to eight years old. The course focuses on the spoken language acquisition of children and how children learn to write. You will undertake your own language investigation, focusing on specific research topics, and also look at the craft old language and produce your own original writing piece.
