Step Forward (and Boost)

Our Mentoring Service encompasses schemes such as our support for Boost and aims to give young people the help they need and deserve to move forward into employment.

A mentor will work with young people on a one-to-one basis, helping to identify and overcome barriers to work, working on confidence issues, identifying skills, helping to locate relevant job opportunities and providing assistance with CV writing, interview techniques and mock interviews. We can also refer young people on to other services for help and advice on specific issues.

• We will work with you to help you identify any barriers you may be currently facing, find ways to help you progress towards finding employment or training, and develop the tools you will need to achieve your goals.
• You will be assigned one of our employment mentors who will contact you by text and email to arrange a chat which will allow you to get to know each other and begin your tailored employment plan.
• This is YOUR journey and YOU are in control!

This service is free of charge.

This is our local mentoring scheme to help young people with CVs, Job Applications, Mock Interviews and general job searching.
