Course Details
Who are we?
We are part of the Targeted Youth Support Team – our main remit is to provide support, enable or assist young people with access to education and training, promoting inclusive practice and effective provision for young people that are struggling to access education or training successfully.
How do we support young people?
We can…
work with you to explore emotions and to build trust and engagement with services
• help raise aspirations, boost confidence, and increase preparedness for education, training, and employment
• help you prepare for College or Training after extended periods of absence from education
• support you with career/transition planning, helping you take next steps into further education, training, or employment
• We will work with you on an individual basis for as long as it takes, the time we spend with you will depend on you and will be discussed at the first meeting.
Who can we support?
Aspire ETE workers work with young people aged from 16 to 24 years-old who are struggling to succeed and engage with education, training, or employment for whatever reason!
Advice and Guidance workers can call in support from a TYSS ETE. It’s important to know that it’s your choice whether you choose to work with TYSS.
Once a case has been allocated, the ETE Worker will visit you either at your home or a place you feel comfortable meeting. The involvement of the ETE worker will be reviewed at least every three months to ensure it is helping you achieve your goals.
