T Level in Health

Are you interested in a rewarding career in the health sector? Our T Level in Health will boost your knowledge in a range of healthcare topics including providing person-centred care, principles of good scientific and clinical practice, infection prevention and control and managing information and data.

It will also develop your understanding of standard operating procedures, management of equipment and work areas, stock control and storage, the importance of quality standards and health and safety. You will develop an understanding of both human anatomy and physiology as well as diseases and disorders.

As health is one of the fastest growing industry sectors, you will have a chance to make a huge difference to other people’s lives and society as a whole. The specialist nursing and allied health professional route can take you into a range of career pathways and you will learn how to assist the adult nursing team with clinical tasks. During your time at college, you will complete your studies in a purpose-built clinical care suite, replicating a hospital ward to give you hands-on experience before starting your placement.

Then you will be able to put everything you learn into practice, with a substantial industry placement of a minimum of 315 hours. This will give you an amazing opportunity to work with an employer while you study, in a hospital or other healthcare setting, and gain invaluable experience as well as key skills that employers are looking for.

You will need to have achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4/5 or above including English, maths and science at a minimum of grad 3+.

Following a T Level, you could progress straight into a skilled profession or continue your studies with a degree or higher apprenticeship.
