Sport Coaching Level 2

This one-year course helps prepare students aged 16-18 physically, socially and academically for employment with a range of transferable skills in readiness for employment and future careers within the sports coaching industry.

Connected with our sport coaching pathway, it allows students to continue to use their passion for sport in an environment that is related to sports coaching and increasing participation in physical activity. This course combines practical learning and industry experiences to prepare learner’s with the skills and knowledge alongside opportunities to directly engage with employers such as sports clubs, primary schools and coaching organisations.

All while continuing to participate in a high quality football or sport development environment with highly experienced coaches

Within the Level 2 Sports Coaching course you will learn the ways in which people participate in sport and physical activity, the benefits and barriers to participating in sport and methods to carry out safe and legal working practices.

As well as this you will understand the importance of being a role model and the different factors influencing sport and physical activity in the local community.

Finally, you will also be able to plan, deliver and review different activities and learn how to monitor and evaluate your performances through these practical learning opportunities.
