Self and Home

A specialised course designed for students to develop basic life skills needed to look after themselves and the home through practical activities. You will study being a householder, healthy living, community participation, social skills, enterprise and accessing community provision. Making and selling items, volunteering, charity fundraising and enterprise projects are just some things you will be taking part in.

There are no specific entry requirements, you just need an enthusiastic and mature approach to education and learning. You will also need excellent attendance and timekeeping throughout the course.

You could progress to another year in Foundation and Progression, or you could move into community provision and we will support you with this.
