Course Details
Is there a topic that you are passionate about and would like to explore in more detail? Maybe you want to research why people commit a crime, or look into how we could tackle the climate crisis we face today.
Whatever your interests are, you can explore these further, while gaining a qualification and UCAS points, through completing the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
The EPQ can be taken alongside any courses, and involves completing a personal research project that is driven by your own independence and love for a subject. You can either create something – a piece of art, book, teaching resource, music video etc. – or write a report that answers your research question.
Why study with us:

Your next steps...
The emphasis throughout this course will be on developing your independent research, study and presentation skills, culminating in the completion of a piece of independent research by you on a topic of your choice. These skills are highly valued by universities and employers.
It shows you can undertake independent research, which is necessary for all students at university and helps to bridge the gap between sixth form and degree-level study.
