Construction Level 2 (Rackheath only)

If you want further in-depth knowledge of a range of trades or are interested in a career in construction but are undecided about the trade you wish to go into, this is the course for you.

As part of this programme, you will complete practical tasks as you move through the different trade areas. You will cover skills within bricklaying, plastering, painting and decorating, and carpentry and joinery. You will also be able to gain an understanding of property maintenance. The Level 2 course also covers design and sustainability.

Learning a variety of skills in the construction workshop, with a hands on vocational element - be prepared to get your hands dirty!

This study programme is also designed to support young people 16 - 18 to gain a vocational qualification: Math, English and work experience in preparation for progression in further study, an apprenticeship, or employment with training.

The majority of this course is practical based.

A Level 1 qualification and a grade 3 or above in English/Maths

You could progress on to a level 3 trade specific other post 16 providers, gain an apprenticeship or employment.
