If you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 years and over please contact the Advice Shop In addition to this there will be costs for Uniform of steel toe capped boots, trousers and logo shirt. Approximate costs £40. You will only be invited to book an interview for your 1st choice course initially.

Course Details

This is a course that takes students from the age of 16 - 18 and prepares them for the industry recognised level 2 qualification from City and Guilds. it is suitable for those who wish to gain a good foundation of knowledge of the plumbing industry. Units may include: Structure of the construction industry, fundamental safe working practices, environment and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings, site preparation for working in the Construction industry, above ground drainage, copper pipework, plastic pressure pipework, low carbon steel pipework, installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems and plumbing science.

Entry requirements

Achieve 2 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including Maths & English at grade 3 or above. Demonstrate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to succeed on the course. Pre-interview task and Assessment at interview.

Your next steps...

On successful completion of this course with a good attendance and behaviour record and reference from the course leader students can progress onto the level 2 qualification in Plumbing Installations.
