Course Summary

Is this course for me?

Are you creative and imaginative? Do you enjoy exploring ideas and looking at things in different ways? If so you should consider taking Fine Art in the Sixth Form here at King Edward VII Academy. You will enjoy developing your understanding of the visual world, learning practical skills and responding to ideas and issues in ways that are personal to you.

Fine Art is about looking, learning, thinking and communicating ideas in reference to contextual studies. It offers you the chance to use your creativity and express yourself in a personal way.

What will I learn?

You will develop your understanding of the creative processes, your ability to think, to solve problems and to communicate visually. It will enable you to work independently and to make your own discoveries by exploring ideas, other artists’ work and different materials and techniques.
