Course Summary

Textiles is a subject for artists who want to explore their ideas through textiles. You will get to make work in a range of techniques from making through to printing.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is 60% coursework and 40% exam and is all assessed through your portfolio. The four components that you are assessed on are:

Recording information - drawing and photography

Developing ideas by responding to textiles artist's work

Developing your ideas through textiles

Final pieces of work

Entry requirements

Grade 5 or above in GCSE Art.
