A level and T Level results: what next?

Congratulations on receiving your results!  Whether you've got the grades for university, college, an apprenticeship, or a job - well done on reaching this milestone.  If things didn't go as planned, don't worry.  You're not alone, and there's plenty of help available to guide you through your next steps, whatever they may be.

If you're going to university?

  • If you've applied through UCAS, check UCAS Hub from around 8.15am to see if your place has been confirmed.
  • if you've met your firm offer, Congratulations! You'll receive confirmation and can start preparing for uni life.
  • If you've just missed your grades, don't panic - your university may still accept you or offer a place on a different course.
  • If you haven't been accepted you'll automatically be entered into Clearing where you can apply to universities and colleges that have course vacancies.  Take a look at The Uni Guide's guide to Clearing and Results Day

  • Don't forget your head of sixth form, careers leader/adviser at your sixth form or the student advice centre at your college are also there to help.

If you've changed your mind or are unsure about what you want to do:

  • You can use this website to find out about jobs and apprenticeships and other opportunities.  
  • You can also search and apply for apprenticeships through the find an apprenticeship service
  • Find out what's available from apprenticeship providers in Norfolk on the Apprenticeships Norfolk website
  • Telephone a careers adviser on 0800 100 900.  The National Careers Service offers careers information and advice to young people and is open between 8am and 8pm Monday-Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday.
  • If you're not fixed up with anything for September and need advice or support call Norfolk's Help You Choose Helpline on 0344 800 8022 (9am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 9am-4.30pm Friday).
