Course Details

The journey towards making your first million pounds begins with a deep passion for Business Studies.

On this course, you will focus on problem-solving and making business decisions. In your first year, you will learn how businesses are started and how they work. You will look at real world business news and case studies to develop your understanding of the problems and issues they face.

In the second year, you will consider larger businesses and the strategies they use to succeed. You will study how political, legal, social and technological issues affect businesses and how you can make a business successful even during the most difficult times.

We offer tours to London’s business hub, the Bank of England, the Financial District, Houses of Parliament, Wembley Stadium and more.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

There are three externally examined papers at the end of the two-year course. Paper 1 (Marketing, People and Global Businesses) is worth 35% of the A Level, Paper 2 (Business Activities, Decisions and Strategy) is worth 35%, and Paper 3 (Investigating Business in a Competitive Environment) is worth 30%. There is no coursework component.
