This dynamic course is a great starting point if you're keen on forging a career or channelling your passion in green skills and low carbon technology to shape a sustainable future.

Course Details

This course is a blend of two accredited qualifications and CWA's own units to give you an excellent and practical understanding of working practices in the sustainability and retrofit industry.

On this course you will learn about:

  • the fundamentals of sustainability (foundations, resource use, improvements, economic and social benefits)
  • legislation and government initiatives
  • green technologies (e.g. renewable source of energy)
  • environmental factors, impact and how they're protected
  • global climate change
  • reducing emissions and reaching carbon net zero
  • meeting customer needs and expectations
  • retrofit roles and responsibilities
  • principles and practices of retrofit

You'll also learn skills in thermal imagery, plumbing, construction and even receive training on how to fly a drone!

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The majority of the course will be assessed by written assignments.

Entry requirements

You will need:

  • 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, preferably including English, Maths and Science
