Course Details
Supported Internships are personalised study programmes, designed to enable young people with SEN to work towards achieving sustainable employment, by equipping them with the skills they require for the workplace.
Entry requirements
This programme is for young people aged 16-24 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Applicants will need to demonstrate a clear commitment to move into employment and be ready to engage with employers.
Your next steps...
The study programme includes one day in College studying towards employability related learning goals and the equivalent of two days at an employer's workplace gaining real work experience and participating in on-the-job training.
Dependent on the needs of the employer and the student, the on-the-job training may be supported by a dedicated Job Coach.
The work placements are matched to your own interests and career aspirations where possible.
