Course Summary

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service Youth Development Team deliver the Prince's Trust Team Programme in partnership with the College of West Anglia. The Team Programme is a exciting opportunity to help young people move on with their lives and realise their potential.

We run the 12-week programme every January, May and September.

Course Details

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service delivers the Prince's Trust 'Team' Programme at our delivery points in Norfolk:- Norwich, Dereham, and King's Lynn.

The Prince's Trust Team programme is a free 12 week development programme for young people aged 16 to 25 not in education, employment or training.

Over the 12 weeks you will experience a week-long residential, plan and deliver a community project, undertake a community challenge, work on your CV, practice your interview skills, and undertake a work experience placement. You will make new friends, build your confidence, and do something new and exciting.

As the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service will deliver the programme you will also get to come onto our fire stations and experience life as a Fire Fighter, experience Fire and Rescue equipment, and undertake special Fire and Rescue challenges.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Learners will complete a portfolio of work based on their activities whilst on the programme to achieve a Prince's Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills. The qualification can be undertaken at Entry Level 3, Level 1 or level 2.

The Prince's Trust Team Programme is for young people aged 16 to 25 not in full-time education, employment or training.
