Getting Your A Level Results?

A-Level Results Come Out On The 14th Aug 2008

When You've got them

If you don't get the results you expected-better or worse-you don't need to panic!

You have loads of options, no matter what your results. And Connexions will give you plenty of support in finding the right choice for you.

STOP and think....

You do need to act quickly, but you must think things through first. This is when your Connexions Personal Advisor (PA) can make a big difference -PAs know all about the options out there, plus they know what questions to ask.

Find a PA who can point you in the right direction at a Connexions Centre -find your local centre on the Connexions Centre page

"There's real pressure on students to just grab the first thing they're offered.

Talking to a Connexions PA can provide that extra insight that could be the difference between a wrong or right decision"

Emma Bugg, Communications Manager...

Your First Steps...

  • Applied for a university place but didn't get the right grades? Give the university a ring and tell them what happened - they may offer you a place anyway. (Your PA can help you with talking to them.)
  • Don't forget the UCAS clearing system. This can tell you about university places for students who missed out on their first choices. Click UCAS-Clearing now to go there.
  • Think about the training options available. Your exam results definitely open doors to your future, but you may not know which one to walk through yet. Have a look at training for a career that's in demand.
