GCSE results

So, the waiting is over and you've got your results.

Are they better or worse than expected?

Do you need to change your plans or consider different options?

Maybe you've changed your mind about what you want to do?

.

Don't panic or feel that you are on your own.  There is plenty of help and advice available.

If your results are better or worse than you expected and you are concerned that you may not have the grades you need for your chosen course you should:

  • Get in touch with the sixth form, college or sixth form college you have applied to and find out whether they will still give you a place on your chosen course.  If you have not achieved the grades required for the course you may still be able to get a place on another course
  • If you are still concerned you can contact Norfolk's Information, Advice and Careers Guidance helpline on 0344 800 8022

If you've changed your mind or are unsure about what you want to do you can:

Look for other opportunities using Help You Choose.  Go to the Training & Other Courses page that lists training options due to start soon, and the Jobs page with local Apprenticeships and other vacancies for 16-19 year olds.  You can also register for Jobmatching, where we e-mail you each week with any jobs or training opportunities that come up in your area.

Speak to a Careers Adviser on 080 800 13219.  They offer information, advice and support on careers and learning for 13-19 year olds and are open between 8am and 2am every day.  If you prefer you can text them on 07766 4 13219.
